Novelty Socks

Question: Are novelty socks taboo for men?

I'm male, and I love wearing mutlicolored socks all the time, ones with cartoons, stripes, sayings, etc. I've always wondered why men don't have nearly as much of a choice for fun socks as women do. Then it got me wondering even more because I took a recent trip to the UK and there were plenty of cool socks for men there. Here in the states its just plain, solid colored socks. Any thoughts? I'm I one of the few men here in the US that likes crazy colored socks? Or are they just gag items for most men?

You are the only man I know that wears those. I don't even think I've seen any with the rest of the mens socks in a store.But it's alright, BE DIFFERENT!

I personally feel novelty socks should be taboo for anyone....I am a woman and you wouldn't catch me wearing dorky socks. But hey...this is America...if you want to wear dorky socks you can.

Novelty socks are horrible for anyone. If you are a funny guy with things to say, say it through your sense of humor, not through your socks.

I love socks. The good thing is I wear size (9-11) so I can get socks in the boy's, girl's or woman's sections. I show off my socks. Pretty girls always ask me about my socks. And the ice is broken.

Yes, they are "gag " socks here in the states-because most men here believe to wear them is to be gay!

I think they are great! You could go for coloured argile socks as well. if you have trouble finding them here, you could check online and buy them there. I just love it when people aren't afraid to be themselves. Even if it does mean being different. You rock!
