Question: What color of socks is better?

Is white or black socks better for casual occasions, what looks better?

Black socks. White is for weddings, and for sports. Like the song says: Black socks never get dirty!

I think white is more common, but in my opinion it looks more tacky. Go with black-classic.

It depends if ur wearing dark clothes black but if ur wearing bright clothes wear white socks

Well, I think it depends on the type of socks. Cotton (white/ black) socks look casual while silkier, dress socks look more formal and are commonly worn with slacks. I think either would look casual, really. White is more frequently worn in casual situations set within magazines, television shows, movies, etc. The only part left is choosing which color looks better with the outfit you have. Always go with the white socks. They look great with all colors of clothing. Black socks are more fancy if you ask me :)
